Meatball Tears (3)

Finally i got a chance to go to Ikea. Wankit was in a good mood today. :D But it was raining.. So the journey there was kinda dangerous.

Smells like Ikano. :D
This Ikea is right next to Newark airport. So if the plane loose control there are at least 40% it will crash into Ikea. :( Then New Jersey got no more Meatballs!

The first time i take a bite, i was almost in tears. Reminiscing the memories in Ikano with Sand, Xtine & sometimes Jacq.. So nice. And it's $4.99 for 15 balls! Add $1 get 5 more extra!!! SANDRA!!! CHRISTINE!! Damn good deal huuh?!

Was sitting next to the window..

Can see all the air planes land like every 5-10 minutes.. Haha..

Sedap.. So satisfying. :D

Their checkouts are all self-checkouts.. And they DON'T HAVE PLASTIC OR PAPER BAGS!!! So we hand carried all of our goods to the car. =.=

Anyway, i tried making French Onion soup last night. It was a success! Just ignore the burn tho, the owen's fault.

Brand New Eyes

Finally bought Paramore's brand new album, 'Brand New Eyes'. It's not bad. I prefer Riot more. Maybe i am just not used to it yet. I should listen more to it.

I like the butterfly print. It's so pretty. Just it's a lil gay for Josh, Jeremy, Zac and Taylor. Hehe.. I like!

I was craving for Sambal Belacan these past few days as the weather is dropping to 13 degrees celsius, sometime 8 degrees in the morning, and i am still getting used to Fahrenheit. It's super confusing. So why not just stick to celsius huh?
Anyway, really cold. I miss spicy food and all. So i decided to make Sambal Belacan and ABC Soup to warm myself up. :D

Here's the recipe:
Pound the chili padi, as much as you desire, depends on the spicy level of the chili padi too. Like in US, the chili padi, tak pedas, so add banyak banyak.
Mash the belacan about 2 slices of 1cm, with lime juice, sugar and salt. Add both belacan and chili together. Wallla! Pedas pedas sambal belacan!!!

By the way, i forgotten to tell you how silly i was in the last post. I was trying clothes in Forever 21, and i saw a pair of flats is pretty cheap and nice but i'm not allowed to bring into the changing room, so i left it outside the changing room..... and i forgotten to buy. :[

And i forgotten to pay Miley Cyrus's line tank top when i was paying my stuff at Walmart. Haha.. Coz i hung the tank top on my shoulder. Didn't realize until i walk out of the building. Haha.. So blur! Feel so Sandra now.

By the way, i'm trying on Blogo for mac. It's as good as Windows Live Writer, but i have to pay $25 for it. I'm using the free-trial now. Huhuhu.. Everything is so expensive. I am damn broke now..

Claypot Chicken Rice (0)

Another day off. Got all planned to make Claypot Chicken Rice. Got the recipes from Natasha and went to Great Wall Supermart yesterday to stocked up some ingredients. I was so excited that i didn’t sleep well last night coz i dreamt about it the whole night and about work too.

Cook the rice with Shitake Mushroom Stock, Soy Sauce, Salt and Garlic Oil.
I used this bowl to steam my ‘Claypot’ Rice.
Coz i got no claypot and my rice cooker is too small.

Prepared some sliced ginger, Shitake Mushrooms and Lap Cheong

The boyfriend waiting for dinner while studying. He’s got finals tomorrow.

Pre-marinated chicken that tasted so nice!
Garlic, Rice Wine, Starch, Oyster Sauce, Black Sauce, Chicken Stock powder.
Yummy! Tender and juicy!

Stir fry lap Cheong & Ginger

Then Mushroom

Then Chicken until half cook, and add it to the rice when the rice is almost cook.

Set it to ‘Stay Warm’ for like 15-20 minutes.

Time to eat!

So delicious!

Strawberry (2)

I’ve been the weirdest girl on planet Earth for not liking Strawberry. I think it’s so sour and sweet that i don’t like torturing myself with. I never like Strawberry flavors too, until Haagen Daaz.

Nah, he don’t really take Strawberry, but he LOVES Chocolate. OMG! I never tasted anything like this before. So nice! :D I am so addicted to it.

I’ve been having dreams and sleep talk about work. Every night different dialogue. Whenever WK tells his experiences to the family, it’s a laugh to all. Haha.. I was quite worried for myself coz of the amount of pressure i gave to myself each day, but i’m quite immune to it now, it’s only WK, that have to bare with it every single night. Thank God i have no sleep walking.

The thing here in America, when you need to communicate with them everyday, they can’t really understand my kind of English and i totally detest their ‘slang’. I think they all sound so shallow speaking in their accent, like those dumb blondes, i think all of them speak like that. Unfortunately, i have to speak like that too to get them to get me. Not just that, my colleagues are mostly Hong Kies and i have to speak the Hong Kong style like, ‘bus-sie’ and ‘tax-sie’, coz my cantonese ain’t that good. Then come back home le, i gotta speak the Malaysian way to the family. Imagine the different kind of accents i have to speak here.

Gone Too Soon (2)

I missed the Michael Jackson’s Memorial service on CNN. Was out with the boyfriend to run some errands. Managed to catch some scenes at Applebees during lunch time. Something that amazed me after his death is, people who turn their heads away from him because of his was sued for molesting kids, actually downloading and starting to appreciate his work. Well, it kinda irritated me too.
Why? Is it because the fans from around the world is grieving over his death and you’re just following the trend? Or they just realized he made good music and he is really a talented man?

I remember ever since he was sued, i told people i like MJ’s music, people just give me the ‘ew’ face and somehow despise the fact that i like a ‘pedophile’. I am just wondering why are these people feeling sad now.

I can’t believed few months ago i was so excited that he’s having his final show, and got all disappointed that it’s all in UK, and i signed up for the newsletter online, incase he decided to have some show in US. Now that he’s gone, i hope he’s music and work will live with us forever.

So, do you think Madonna or Mariah Carey is gonna die soon? Mariah’s too fat, she might have heart attack and Madonna is working out too much. So what do you think?

Anyway, i made a successful Mee Siam today for breakfast for the family. :D
And they like it.

I’ve been having weird dreams ever since i started work. I will sit up in the middle of the night, mumbling about something and i will wake WK up. Hahah.. Actually i was dreaming about taking orders and etc about work. Pretty scary huh? I was so excited last night that i didn’t have any dream and sleep talking cum action, so i told Wk’s bro’s fiancé, Fiona, happily that i didn’t have any nightmares. Unfortunately, WK told me i sit up again in the middle of the night, so he asked me to go back and sleep, after i told Fiona. I told him “I’m serious this time”. Poor WK.

Had a dinner date at Princeton tonight. Then a stroll around the campus. It was pretty chilly tonight, should have brought my jacket.

Good night. Hope no nightmare tonight.

Relaxation and OCified (4)

My Labor Day was kinda ruined by my sis, Jo. Emo bit off my sister’s charger head, TWICE. And the second charger was from my mummy’s company. So mummy screamed at Jo on Labor’s Day morning like those ‘I AM GONNA KILL YOU’ scream. Actually the night before, mummy told Jo to keep the charger outta Emo’s reach. Obviously she didn’t. After the screaming and all, all my sister did was cry and ignored the world. I tried to tell her to go get ready for Karaoke Session and Wolverine, which i was so excited about, but she totally ignored me.

So mummy didn’t wanna disappoint me, she brought me out for groceries shopping and cheap luggage hunting! Well, she need some environmental evidence to join her company’s ‘environmental month’. So, we took these:

Then we prepared steamboat that night with tons of Abalone and Prawns. We even stocked up our vitamin C at home.

Saturday was cool. Helped mummy to ‘Spring Clean’ the fridge. God knows what my popo stored inside! Now the fridge is clean and spacious. And i also clean up my wardrobe, donated all of my clothes for some charity drive from mummy’s company for the ‘environmental month’. Kinda breaks my heart to see my wardrobe so, empty. Played a lil dress up with my sister, coz i think the way she is dressing is too lala and so different from Christine’s sister, Brenda.

This is my sister, wearing, my shorts, my leggings, my blouse, my cardigan. Decided to give her the leggings(since she look nicer in it) and the cardigan(even though i love that so much coz it’s from Abercrombie)

She just need to read more fashion blogs which i doubt she will coz she will only spend her time when she’s online playing Chinese online games and Friendster.

Then we finally went for Karaoke session on Sunday, last day of the weekend. Had a great great time with my family. And we had my favorite
Bak Ku Teh, in direct translation, Meat Bone Tea. It’s porky. That uncle from that shop smiled at me again! Always love going there for lunch. I think he likes Jill and i. Perhaps it’s because we’ve been eating there since young, probably almost every single week.

Then we made pizza that night. Woo!

Monday Blues FREE (3)

For the first time, this semester, i woke up on Monday morning at 8am, feeling happy and a lil tired too.
No Monday Blues. :]

Then breakfast came into my mind. Hehe.. No more Butterscotch Bread that is so tasty that always gives me diarrhea.

What came into my mind was, hot and spicy Lontong Kering with Chicken Rendang! Yummy!

So i got outta bed and went downstairs to check out what’s for breakfast before i brush my teeth.

And i saw this!!

Not the first time mummy bought what i wanted to eat in the morning, the last time it happened, she made me her famous Mee Siam when i was craving for it.

Before i had my breakfast, i did laundry and all.. feel like such a good girl. Haha.. Do house chores and everything. :]

Then in the afternoon, i was very very sleepy. I think it was because i didn’t have my coffee in the morning today. So after had almost 3 hours of sleep in the afternoon, i had my Nescafe Gold and i was pretty charged up!

Started to clean more of the house like non-stop! And started to prepare dinner.

Today i cooked,

Chicken Wings! Don’t know what do i call this in English.

But it’s ‘mern kai yok’ in Cantonese. :] With lots of garlic!
